Say Yes To The Dress

Peek-a-boo dress

The colors of summer are turquoise, black and white and yellow. You can pair these solids with prints, of course, but let's cut to the chase on what's in for dresses. Here is what to keep an eye out for this summer when looking for the perfect dress: Cutouts that show minimal skin are hot right now on chic dresses. Hues Of Tangerine

Orange Slice by Valspar

Everywhere you look, you see the new color palettes for summer.  Of course you can go with the bold and vibrant ones, which will more than likely involve a complete décor makeover. $$$$ Or you could pick a pretty hue that easily blends with other colors. This summer that color is tangerine.   One of the reasons why I really like the tangerine hues is because it’s not quite red or orange. It’s one of those in between colors that fill a room without being … [Read more...]

Kim Barton

Australian designer Kim Barton sets fashion forward trends with an intuition for setting the bar before it is even seen in other labels or brands. This season’s designs include an asymmetrical scalloped skirt and an elegant blouse with a crisscross neck wrap. This is exactly what caught my eye to make me pursue this label. I first saw Kim Barton featured on the runway at Perth Fashion Festival this fall and realized that she has what it takes to possibly be the next Kate Spade or … [Read more...]
