Spring is near and you know what that means, time to spruce up your wardrobe! I am always looking online, reading magazines, and going to stores to find out what is the latest trend. At Carrie Ann, my boutique in Uptown Park, I have already started receiving my spring merchandise. Leopard and polka dot prints, royal blue, orange, and coral colors are the must haves for this season.
Don’t be afraid of bold colors and mixing things up. Whether you are 20 or 60 years old, you can wear a royal blue blazer, orange top, yellow jeans, and hot pink heels or flats. There are no rules with fashion. Once you put on your first pair of colored denim you won’t go back, which you can find at Nordstrom, www.shopbop.com, and Express. Bring color to your wardrobe with a top, jacket, dress, or handbag. I encourage you to step out of your box and buy something with color today! If you are on a budget it’s okay you don’t have to spend $200.00 on a fabulous top. Check out Zara, The Limited, and Express, they have a wide variety of current styles and price ranges.
Dresses are hotter than ever. They have become the easy go to outfit from the grocery store, work, or nice dinner. Nowadays it’s trendy to throw a maxi dress on with a pair of flats and run errands. It’s an easy way to be comfortable and stylish. In addition to dresses, Caftans are a must have. They are no longer just worn on the beach as a bath suit cover up, now they have made them with amazing detailing and prints perfect for dressy or every day.
Last but not least, don’t forget about your nails. It doesn’t just stop at what clothes to wear for spring. Our make up and nails are what complete the entire look. The dark nail color is always fun and trendy but it’s time to slip into the pastels. Baby pink, mint green, purple, coral, and even white are hot choices this season. In fact, I have already jumped on the bandwagon and painted my nails white. If white is too bold for you then try a light pink, it’s elegant and in trend. If you’re looking for affordable nail polish, my personal favorites are Essie and OPI. They have a great variety at CVS and Ulta.
I leave you with this, if you tend to be conservative or afraid of trying new things in your wardrobe then take these suggestions and try something new. Bring in lots of color this spring. Who knows you just might find that you’re more daring then you thought.
